WHO MAY STUDY IN CANADA?

Everyone who wishes to study in Canada must apply and obtain a study permit/visa in order to study in Canada as an International Student.

TO BEST MEET THE CRITERIA FOR ADMISSION IN CANADIAN COLLEGE/UNIVERSITY AND THE CRITERIA FOR STUDY PERMIT,YOU SHALL:

  • have completed and passed Grade 12, higher secondary school certificate, intermediate school certificate, “O” level or “A” level certificate.
  • have achieved at least 50% marks in any of the above-noted credentials.
  • be between the age level of 16 years and 25 years.
  • preferably not be married.
  • have appeared in English Language Test IELTS (academic) and must have achieved a minimum band of at least 6.0.
  • be able to pay the tuition fee for at least six months, hostel residence charges for at least 6 months, travel expense to and from Canada.
  • be able to provide a proof of available financial support in the form of bank statement, proof of parent’s employment etc.
  • be in good health and have no criminal charges.

WHO CAN APPLY :
To be eligible to study in Canada
  • You must have been accepted by a school, college, university or other educational institution in Canada. You must prove that you have enough money to pay for your:
    • tuition fees living expenses for yourself and any family members who come with you to Canada and
    • return transportation for yourself and any family members who come with you to Canada.
  • You must be a law-abiding citizen with no criminal record and not be a risk to the security of Canada. You may have to provide a police certificate. You must be in good health and willing to complete a medical examination, if necessary.
  • You must satisfy an immigration officer that you will leave Canada when you have completed your studies.

PROCESSING TIME FRAME
It takes approximately 4 weeks to get an admission in a Canadian university/college and it takes approximately 8 weeks to get a study permit from the Canadian High Commission. The expected processing time is approximately 3 months.
